Safeguarding (Level 1 & 2)

Training Objective:

This session aims to give staff an understanding their role has in safeguarding adults and children by looking at risk factors, types of abuse and how to record concerns.  By providing knowledge and looking at case studies, staff will have increased awareness of signs of abuse and what their responsibilities are if they see it.

Covering :

  • Recognise an adult or child who may be vulnerable to abuse
  • Understanding wellbeing - Making Safeguarding Personal
  • Evidence and indicators of abuse
  • Factors increasing the risk of abuse
  • Reporting concerns (whistleblowing)
  • Mental Capacity Act & Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS)
  • Preventing Radicalisation
  • Sharing information and what to record

Duration: 1.5 hours for both Adult and Child Safeguarding.  As an alternative, we can provide Adult and Child safeguarding as separate sessions lasting 1 hour each
